San Juan Island
Friday Harbor is the biggest town in the chain. Lime Kiln Point State Park delivers world-class shore-based orca watching in summer.
Orcas Island
Mountainous and horseshoe-shaped. Drive or bike Mt. Constitution in Moran State Park for panoramas across every other island.
Lopez & Shaw
Lopez is flat, bike-friendly and famously friendly (locals wave from cars). Shaw is the smallest ferry-served island — quiet, wooded and residential.
